My experience with Gina was a wonderful, educational and ultimately restorative
one.
After two weeks of incredible pain, muscle spasms and extremely limited
mobility I sought the healing powers of someone with years of experience
coupled with experience in different modalities and who demonstrated a desire
to continue learning. My research led me to her.
After an intital interview, along with continued gentle questioning, she utilized a variety of methods during my treatment. This wasn't just a 'deep tissue' massage. She switched flawlessly between modalities so well, that when we were done, I was glad she told me how she had integrated the different types to address my various issues.
The next day, she forwarded information on strengthening and stretching to ensure I could remain physically well, to the best of my abilities. I also felt absolutely comfortable in e-mailing her if I had any questions about the information that she had provided. That comfort level also extends to her various contacts and recommendations.
I had a follow up treatment during which she ALSO mended a 10 year shoulder issue that had evaded some top specialists aided by their MRI's.
During my treatments, she was continually gracious in answering my questions. I could tell that she genuinely wanted me to understand the underlying issues that had brought me to her, along with the various ways I could remain physically well (and therefore happier on other fronts).
I can now proceed with all of my activities (and I LOVE to be physically active), with the confidence that Gina and her extensive knowledge will be able to get me back on track if I happen to derail once again.

From the professional to the personal, Gina's passion permeates every aspect of her life. She is unfailingly honest, kind and respectful. A little over a year ago I found myself in the ICU, scared and confused. Ten days and one surgery later Gina stepped in and calmly offered me a way to relieve the pain and stress of surgery. With each session the pain of scarring and the swelling eased. I also found that with each session more than just the physical was healing my inner turmoil and stress surrounding my illness was dissipating. Gina is the best massage therapist I have ever gone to. She educates me by explaining how the body works and why I have the issues I do. She definitely makes a person responsible for their own healing by providing resources and homework to do at home to enhance the body work she practices. I came to Gina after abdominal surgery, where she helped me with lymphatic drainage to reduce the swelling post operative, and she was excellent. She goes into detail about her work so a person can understand the process. She helped exfoliate my dry skin due to the surgery, medications and compression garment I was wearing, which helped with the itching I was having. It allowed my garment to slide back on easily and smoothly. Her scar reduction massage on my surgical scar helped to soften and flatten it out to almost nothing. It's definitely a commitment of time for a few weeks but so well worth it. She also helped to balance my body by massaging my lower back area while I was recovering, which was really sore due to the kind of abdominal surgery I had to have.

I had a face lift and my face was completely swollen and hurt. I was referred for lymph drainage, and it was very beneficial. It reduced the swelling and made my face feel softer and not so tight! The massage itself was very relaxing and it put me to sleep. She took care to prop me up with pillows and make me as comfortable as possible! I had never heard of this type of massage until my doctor recommended it, and it was the best thing I could have done!

I had a mastectomy and Gina began working on lymph drainage a week or so after the surgery. Once we had the drainage down and gone, she worked on being able to mobilize my arm with massage stretches. She also had me do some self massage at home to help break down the scar tissue. I had my arm above my head with easy movement after 5 weeks from surgery. Of course I saw her 3 times a week and was committed to working on getting better. When I went in for my prosthetic at 3 months after surgery, the technician couldn't believe I was able to move my arm so well. They said it was amazing and the first time they had ever seen this ever happen after so many patients. It ususally takes one years time to get good range of motion, but even then it's never perfect. I am a dancer and believe me, I was dancing right away as soon as I got movement back in my arm. I haven't had any problems since. No edema or need for prescription compression sleeve or anything. It has been over a year now, and I feel great and unrestricted.
