Lymphatic Massage Techniques
Lymphatic drainage techniques will assist the body in evacuation of toxins caused by blocked lymph nodes and poor lymphatic flow. The lymphatic system is the body's sewer system to assist in the release of waste products that the body does not need. There are many lymph nodes and vessels surrounding the digestive system, as well as other organs which can be addressed to work more efficiently. LDT will also assist in post surgery recovery and decrease edema (swelling) that can cause discomfort or concern. It will assist in detoxing the system of anesthesia.
Massage therapy techniques will stimulate other functional systems including the circulatory system in order to process digestion and promote Peristalsis (which is a series of organized muscle contractions that occur throughout the digestive tract, and an automatic and important process that moves food through the digestive system. It also moves urine from the kidneys into the bladder, and bile from the gallbladder into the duodenum.)
Massage can also relieve tight a diaphragm due to stress factors or physical trauma which can cause some gastric issues. A combination of massage techniques and lymphatic drainage can help alleviate and diminish the following conditions with additional medical care from your physician, dietary changes, and physical exercise.
